Geoff Brosseau pursued his career in water-related sciences due to of his natural affinity with water. He was a competitive swimmer since the age of four, later getting involved in diving, and was a rafting guide in high school. As he spent much of his time near the water, he always gravitated towards water sports. In 1979, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Commencing his career as a marine biologist, Mr. Brosseau has excelled as the executive director of the Bay Area Stormwater Management Agencies Association since 1994. Additionally, from 2004 to 2020, he was the executive director of the California Stormwater Quality Association. In his role, Mr. Brosseau oversees day to day operations and financials, as well as develops programs to manage water in the state of California and the Bay Area. He also provided guidance and training for employees and helps people better understand stormwater and wastewater.
Notably, Mr. Brosseau was honored as an Industry Icon by Storm Water Solutions in 2021. To add to his exceptional career, he is currently working on compiling his own ideas and experiences as a field expert. He looks forward to brainstorming for the best way to share it with more people.
